Cinematic Tribute to ‘Creepy’ at Monsterpalooza

Warren Publishing, a group known for creating some amazing horror anthologies, has become the subject creepy-monsterpaloozaof a “cinematic tribute” at the Los Angeles event, Monsterpalooza. Warren’s magazine, Creepy, will be a highlight of the convention, which runs from April 9 – 11 in Burbank, California. There’s not much info posted on this yet but you can visit the Monsterpalooza website for more details. Do you like the poster featuring the anthology’s host, Uncle Creepy? Check out the guest list for this year’s event below. There’s a truck load of killer horror people for every type of fan. I’d love to meet the Chaney Family to find out what they think about The Wolfman redux.

If you’re unfamiliar with the magazine, I highly recommend taking a look at Creepy. You can pick up a copy of the Creepy Archives, which is a collection of the 1964 anthology–issued by Dark Horse Comics. You’ll notice issues have been illustrated by comic luminaries like Bernie Wrightson, Neal Adams, and Frank Frazetta among others. All of this is packaged in a delicious, oversized hardcover which can’t be beat. You can purchase volume one here. Volume 4 just came out this July and you can expect the next hardcover February 24, 2010 (pre-order it here).
