‘Chuck’ Comic-Con 2008 Scoop and Videos

ChuckNot only has the Internet’s resident TV-gossip maven, E! Online‘s Kristin, filed a nice and detailed report from Saturday’s Chuck panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2008, but she and her team have also uploaded lots of video goodies to YouTube so all of us fans can watch and hear what happened.

After noting that the show’s presentation attracted a horde of eager fans and then entertained them big time, Kristin reveals some of the Season Two developments coming up. If you’ve been following the Chuck posts here and around the Web, you’re probably aware of a few things already.

Before we get to that, the panel members included executive producer Josh Schwartz, co-creator Chris Fedak, and stars Adam Baldwin (Major John Casey), Joshua Gomez (Morgan Grimes), Sarah Lancaster (Ellie Bartowski), Zachary Levi (Chuck Bartowski), Ryan McPartlin (Captain Awesome), and Yvonne Strahovski (Agent Sarah Walker).

Those present got to see the cast about as up-close as they ever will, ask questions, and check out a 10-minute preview of the second season, which kicks off on September 29, as well as learn about future plot points like…

(Follow the jump for those spoilers and a few videos, too)

  • Chuck and Sarah seriously consider giving their romantic relationship a go … after they get rid of that pesky little Intersect in Chuck’s head
  • Almost lifelong best friends Chuck and Morgan encounter tension in their relationship, which is kind of depressing to me
  • Ellie will throw herself fully into planning her and Awesome’s upcoming wedding ceremony
  • Awesome’s parents will finally be introduced so we can all see how he got so darn awesome (I’m looking forward to finding out who gets cast in the roles of Mama Awesome and Papa Awesome, but it wouldn’t it be sad if the characters turn out to be really, really non-awesome?)
  • Big Mike (Mark Christopher Lawrence) is going to hook up with Morgan’s mother, which I predict will not please the proud underachiever at all
  • And, the talented thespians who play the gang of Buy More employees called the Nerd Herd will all be series regulars

Make sure to read Kristin’s original post “Chuck vs. Comic-Con” for more of her personal observations about the event *after* you check out the videos below she’s been kind enough to share. I don’t think Season Two could look much better than it does in the preview.
