By now, the whole world knows about the beat down Chris Brown dealt out to his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, this past February. He is currently completing some community service (and probation) in relation to the crime and, while they got back together for a short time, Rihanna has made it very clear that she no longer wants to have anything to do with him.
After everything that has happened, people saw Rihanna as a victim and they wanted to see her come out of the situation stronger than ever. While the world seemed to be disappointed in her decision to take Chris back, everything seemed to get back on track when she finally left him for good and went back into the studio to create a new album. I had high hopes for the effort and believed she would deliver an emotionally charged collection of songs that would be representative of everything she’s been through. I literally rolled my eyes in disgust when I learned that Chris Brown was also working on new music that would be released around the same time.
Rihanna is releasing her Rated R album this week and I’ve got to say that it sounds very cold, stark and hollow. I was expecting more from her. I would have been happier if she had just waited a while to put something out rather than release this depressing crap so I didn’t set my expectations too high for Chris’ stuff.
When I saw the video for “Crawl” which is off of his upcoming Graffiti album, I was completely stunned. It could all be fake but the song appears to have some sort of warmth and genuine emotion. The video is super high quality and I like it way more than anything I’ve seen from Rihanna recently. Does that make me a bad person?

Music industry without chris would b a joke.Rihanna musically has nothing on him.PPL get caught up in chris’ personal life and judge his music by what he does rather than for the song .U cant like his music then u find out he hit her so u dont like it anymore.PPl tht do that dont no wat music is about.IN The end i think crawl may be one of the best records of all time.The lyrics, the sound,the video scraping the edges of perfection i think.Chris browm owns despite how much sales he makes

No, I don’t believe that it makes you a bad person. I also think that “Crawl” is a sincere and genuine video. Unforunately for Rihanna, I think Chris will sell more albums than she will.
