Recently, I told you that House fans will soon be able to role-play as House or one of his team in a new video game. The time is now getting closer and I have some exciting news for you. I have previews of what each of the avatars for the game will look like and info about the game’s release. (Don’t tell anyone just yet, but stay tuned, I may be able to get some giveaway items to help promote it, closer to release time.)
First off, here’s the official description of what we will see in the game:
House M.D. places you in smack in the middle of all the drama and smart dialogue fans love from the popular TV show. Play as the surly Dr. House and the skilled staff at Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital, as you race to unravel 5 all-new medical mysteries. Your job is to diagnose unknown illnesses by interviewing and examining patients, analyzing lab tests and even performing surgery! With over 100 varieties of mind-bending puzzles and mini-games, House M.D. guarantees to entertain even the snarkiest player for hours.
Now, doesn’t that sound like fun? I personally can’t wait to get my hands on the game so I can pretend to be House! The good news is that Cameron is included in the avatars for the game, so she’s still a part of the virtual team. More good news is that Lucas is not in any of the pictures either. All sorts of imaginary scenarios come to mind…like, wouldn’t it be fun to see Cameron and Thirteen get into a hair-pulling brawl over a patient diagnosis? (Yes, I’m a very sick person…) ;-)
Here are a few quotes from the avatars that will bein the game:
House on patient care: "As far as you looking ‘normal,’ that’s something you and your plastic surgeon have to deal with. As for your condition, we’re going to check your signs and symptoms." |
Wilson on House’s behavior: "We came dangerously close to getting caught in Cuddy’s office the other day, and I’m worried about what you might do next." |
Cuddy on House as a friendship: "Okay, you’re his friend. Apparently, you can actually stomach him." |
Foreman on House’s language: "Are you just going to refer to us by "circus freakshow" names?" |
Chase on being labeled the hunky doctor: "She ‘ranked’ me? I’m being ‘ranked’ by a fourteen year old?" |
Cameron on House’s antics: "Even if you’re right – which you’re not – why the hell would I go rooting around in someone else’s home? Those days are over, House." |
Thirteen on discretion in an interview: "You mentioned seeing something white on her nose? Could you elaborate?" |
Taub on relating to patients: "You know, uh… I was in a fraternity in college, and one time we painted ourselves blue." |
The game will be available for PC or Mac download and retail purchase in February 2010 (not January as the graphic states) and the DS version will be out in April 2010.
If you want to follow the latest game developments, you can follow on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube or Legacy Games’ blog. And, of course, I’ll keep you informed here as well.

Can’t wait to play House in a game! I wonder if I’m as good as I am in real life i.e. just solved another case last week – took the attending half a year! – I did it in a week… Says all…

These avatars look really good!
As far as the game goes… I surely look forward to to trying it, even if idk how much fun it would really be…
I expect something similar to the CSI games which are… interesting… but I wouldn’t describe them as FUN.
We will see ;)
