Burn Notice: Season Two Sneak Peeks

Jeffrey Donovan/Burn NoticeAs the second-season premiere of USA Network’s deserving hit Burn Notice draws nearer and nearer, I’m getting more and more excited. Thanks to USA’s generosity, I’ve already seen the first two episodes of the upcoming season, and let me assure fans that the wait has definitely been worth it.

The series and its stellar cast remain as cool and competent as ever, if not more so. And, yes, Battlestar Galactica‘s Tricia Helfer is there from the very first episode, this Thursday’s “Breaking and Entering,” although she’s probably not on-screen as much as her hordes of BSG superfans would like.

Still, viewers who’ve been watching since the beginning have a great deal to look forward to when the show resumes because we’re finally going to find out who burned spy guy Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) and why. In fact, when the season premiere kicks off at 10pm EST on July 10, we’ll be transported to the same scene that ended the first season: Michael in Sam’s car on that cargo truck on the way to who knows where. Then the ride begins…

Get pumped for the action in store this summer on Burn Notice with the following two sneak peeks, the first featuring Emmy semifinalist Sharon Gless, up for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Michael’s taxing mother Madeline, and the second a segment from one of the episode’s more intense scenes. It looks like they’re really going to be working the slow-mo and stop-start camera effects this time around.
