Brothers: Series Premiere Preview

Viewers eager to watch Fox’s newest sitcom Brothers will get to sample two episodes on September 25 at 8pm ET, the pilot and “House Rules-Anniversary.”

Daryl ''Chill'' Mitchell, Michael Strahan/Brothers 1.01

During the series premiere, retired NFL player Mike Trainor (Michael Strahan, Fox NFL Sunday) sees his glamorous New York City lifestyle come to a screeching halt when his mother Adele (CCH Pounder, The Shield), beckons him back to the family’s hometown in Houston.

She wants him to help his estranged brother Chill (Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Ed), who’s confined to a wheelchair following a car accident and currently having problems keeping his restaurant in business.

Carl Weathers, CCH Pounder/Brothers 1.02

As the hour progresses, Adele will reveal all of the family members’ secrets and persuade everyone to attempt to make a fresh start living in the same household. But when Mike invites a date to spend the night at his parents’ home, Adele lays down some house rules for her grown sons, who — Surprise! — aren’t too thrilled about their assigned daily chores and strict limitations on overnight guests.

Elsewhere, the men’s father Coach (Carl Weathers, In the Heat of the Night) forgets his and Adele’s anniversary, which lands him in deep you know what. To make it up to his wife, Coach struggles to figure out a creative way to celebrate the milestone.

Sneak three peeks at Brothers in the clips below, which also include the series promo and a long-ish trailer.

Brothers airs Fridays on Fox at 8pm ET.
