Brotherhood star Jason Clarke has been tapped to lead the ensemble cast of a new legal eagles pilot for Showtime’s sister network, CBS.
The project revolves around a team of federal prosecutors working in the U.S. Attorney’s office in Manhattan, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Clarke, an Australian, transformed into Providence politico Tommy Caffee for three seasons on Brotherhood.
On the CBS pilot he will play the powerful, charismatic section chief who oversees four lawyers and a handful of paralegals in their overlapping cases.
He’s next slated to appear in Public Enemies, the Michael Mann film about notorious gangster John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) whose bank raids made him the target of the newly formed FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale).
Public Enemies is currently in post-production. It’s expected to open in July.
