Thanks so much to Luke for the tip! According to E!, Bones will have at least six new episodes:

INSIDE SCOOP Four eps are in the can, and Bones will shoot at least six more; the extra episodes have yet to be scheduled.

Yeah, there will only be SIX episodes. The four are already in the can(that’s including the unaired episode from season 2) and ONLY two more episodes have been shot, for a total of six. So, six episodes will not be shot. Only two.
The Ausiello Report dated 20 February 2008 contained the following text:
Question: Now that the strike is over, what’s the deal with Bones? Are they making any new episodes? — Ali
Ausiello: OK, here’s the deal: In addition to the four pre-strike episodes, two new episodes will be produced, and then all six will air on consecutive Mondays beginning April 14.
that would be a good idea otherwise you wouldnt be able to watch bones again lol i know i really cannot wait for it to come back on i miss it soooooooooooo much it is rumoured that they might be 5 series of bones and how much would you bet they wouldnt be a bones and booth hook up til it finishes. they sooooo really need to hook up i mean yeah the mistle toe kiss was a way but it was rubbish it shouldnt have been pushed on them it should have came naturally lol :p
