Bored to Death: ‘The Case of the Missing Screenplay’ Preview

The brand-new October 4 episode of HBO’s latest original sitcom Bored to Death has the intriguing title “The Case of the Missing Screenplay .”

Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis/Bored to Death

When George introduces Jonathan to Coffee and Cigarettes and Ghost Dog filmmaker Jim Jarmusch at a film-society party in New York, the author gets a nice surprise.

Since Jarmusch just happens to love Jonathan’s debut novel, he expresses interest in him rewriting a screenplay. Unfortunately, Jonathan leaves the script in his therapist’s office later after a hookup with a nubile young thing, and he asks Ray to pretend to be a patient in order to get it back.

Elsewhere, George gets beside himself when he bumps into his ex-wife Priscilla and her snotty new husband Richard Antrem, a publishing bigwig.

Preview “The Case of the Missing Screenplay” in the two clips below.

Bored to Death airs Sundays on HBO at 9:30pm ET.
