Michael Ausiello over at EW has just given us some really juicy spoilers to chew on. First, it looks as if dear old Zack may be back for the season finale. But there may be trouble ahead for Booth with some sort of health crisis. And go figure…he’s going to hallucinate again!!! I don’t know why, but I had a feeling there was a pattern developing…
Spoiler:
Question: Will we be seeing Zach on Bones before the end of the season? –Ajay
Ausiello: There’s a strong chance you’ll see him in the season finale. (BTW, major Booth-Brennan scoop coming later today. Clear your mid-day schedule.) [Source: EW]
Then, this came out soon afterward:
Spoiler:
So what, is the nookie Bones is finally gonna let Booth and Brennan have in this season’s finale just a lovely parting gift for David Boreanaz’s character? Probably not, but it sounds like the wisecracking detective will stare death in the face later this season.
“He will be going through a major health crisis,” reveals executive producer Stephen Nathan, “which will cause him to hallucinate.”
Yikes. But whatever Booth’s ultimate fate (the fact that he’s the star of the show probably bodes well for him), at least viewers won’t be imagining his sweet, sweet lovemaking with his partner. “The last episode [of the season] Booth and Brennan are in bed together,” Nathan confirms. “And we can’t have them in bed naked without having sex.”
And the morning after? Will there be catastrophic Moonlighting-esque awkwardness? Thankfully, no. “That’s all going to be resolved within that episode,” Nathan promises, “because we also have to resolve the fact that Brennan wants to have a child.”
So what do you think, folks? Does the words “health” and “crisis” in the same sentence as the name “Booth” strike terror into your hearts? Or do you figure this is just another way for Bones to rattle our… you know? Sound off below. [Source: EW]

i bones has a baby il be pretty mad. half the reason she is so great in the show is because her character is unique, and if she has a kid it will ruin her personality. ugh
Been looking forward to them hooking up for months now!
But Booth having a health scare? Sounds sooo interesting!!! I can’t wait!
To Christina:
Amen to what you wrote.
Speaking of spoilers, on of the things I’ve loved best so far this season is the tricky way HH and his team have played with te fans through spoilers and spoiler videos. I guess they put into practice what they said in an interview, when they confessed watching fanvideos and taking inspiration form there. Think about the videoclips for “Perfect Pieces in the Purple Pond” or “The Con Man in the Meth Lab”. By the first we all got crazy about Brennan suddenly behaving like a man-eater (and she hilariously turned out to be her usual, direct, adorable awkward self); and even before the second got out, we all feared Brennan might hook up with Jared and do with Booth’s brother what fans have been wanting her to do with Booth since the shooting range scene in the Pilot.
And so far, Booth’s “visions” have worked out splendidly both for the charcter and the show. The one in “Fire in the Ice” only geve fuel for another defying moment between B&B at the end of that episode; halucination-based “Hero in the Hold” gave us the chance to a) see more into Booth’s past, b) have Booth somehow say he loves Brennan (Teddy: “Have you never loved someone and never told them” and the look on Booth’s face. And we KNOW he is not thinking about neither Rebecca nor Cam); and last (but apparently not least) the ones in “Princess and the Pear” has (list again) a) revealed how Booth sees his partner (soft skin etc.) and b) definitely driven Perrotta away together with any dream of hers of gettin her hands on Booth. As for the upcoming life-threatening event and consequent hallucinations, here is my 2 cents: maybe Booth gets shot badly (yes, again) and Brennan gets on the ambulance with him; the paramedics give him painkillers or medicine to stabelize him, and he rambles something about Bones and what he feels for her, not really seeing here there because of the medicines and believing he is talking to a doctor. Maybe this could also trigger the events that will lead to the season finale we are so looking for.
To Jes:
I agree with the reasons why we love Brennan you listed in your post. I also think that, same as with Booth’s hallucinantions, we should wait and see what is really behind this baby talk of her our appetite has been “intrigued” with. On my part, I do not see that much out of charcater for her, maybe because I think the reason behind many of her beliefs is the past of disillusionment and betrayal she has suffered. Being a scientisit doesn’t automatically rule out being a mother, not believing in any kind of religion or denying the ideas of marriage and love; but growing up in foster care, being abandoned by your parents and having to basically realy on yourself form the age of 15 can lead to rule out all the above. Most of the times, our views of the world chage because of a person, a group of people or an event that pivots us in the opposite direcetion we were traveling. It can also never happen, but in Brennan’s case it has happened in the person of Booth, a precious encounter not only for her love life but above all for her life as a person. Cyinicism (I talk from experience) often leave you with nothing but a pile of ashes. Besides, we do not even know yet whether she really wants a child; but by the look on her face when she gave Andy away in “The Baby in the Bough” I figure she is ready to at least consider she too could be harbouring feelings of motherhood. And there is nothing wrong about it. Moreover, if Booth and Brennan solve their sexual tension by finally sleeping together, they DO have to have something to bicker and fight and scream about such as marriage and babies. Much as I want them together, I would never want to see them stopping living their relationship in the fast lane like they have done so far.
To nobones up there:
Don’t you think a sick Booth would equal MORE screen time? How about actually watching the episode first before you decide what kills the show. And it’s people like you, who always heed spoilers with a heavy heart, that ruin the fun and enjoyment for the rest of us.
Yay I hope Zack will come back.Cant wait Brennan and Booth finally together when they are bed together on season finale
no zack, its better w/o him!
Is the health crisis so Booth has less scene time again? Well Mr. H. you have finally killed the show for me. It seem the only why now Booth has a good idea about a case is because of his hallucinations. But don’t worry Iam just a DB fan one of the first that started watching and posting to the fox boards, you know HH the fans that did everying they could to help your little show when it first started.
YAY ZACK!!!!!!
Absolutely livid that they roboticized Brennan and now she wants to have a child. Ugh. That’s why we love her – because she’s different and goes against the grain. Of all these poor decisions, that’s the one that bugs me the most. I swear to God, if she says she wants to get married, then I’m sending whatever the opposite of peanuts are to Fox.
I hope they don’t give Booth Cancer. Cause that will take away from the baby request and the well..you know what. UGGHHH!!! Sometimes I think the powers that be are working against the fans….
I was thinking that this “health crisis” is going to explain the previous hallucinations as well. Maybe an aneurysm, or something. So in my opinion, we shouldn’t fret, because once he’s cured, he will be delirium-free! :)
At least we know what they’re going to jump each others BONES for real. ;D
What have we got in store for the finale…Attacks on the lab, return of Zack, a maybe baby request, Booth’s health crisis, and B/B gettin’ it on. Not to mention more insight into Booth’s past. I heard we might get to see his grandfather!
I’m sure some of this is going to play out over the last few episodes. But still, we have a lot promised to be in the finale! Maybe they’ll treat us to a 2-hour finale. ;D We can always dream. :P
