Episode 4.25: The Critic in the Cabernet

Tomorrow night is the episode of Bones that many of us have been waiting for. It’s The Critic in the Cabernet, where Brennan is going to tell Booth she has decided that she wants a baby. It’s also the episode where Booth hallucinates about Stewie from Family Guy. I’m still rather undecided about Stewie, but know that the baby situtation will be wonderful to watch!!
I have a feeling I’m not going to like this episode. First of all, Stewie? Old news, I know, but still. What??
Second, when did Brennan randomly decide to have a baby? It seems ridiculous because nothing this season has been really leading up to her changing her entire philosophy about kids. No, no — because the writers aren’t doing so well this season, what the heck, let’s make Brennan want a baby but we don’t want B&B sex yet, because that would be cliché, and we don’t want *anything* to be cliché on this show, no sir!
(and while I’m at it, the B&B hookup? I’m betting it’ll jump the shark. I’d like to believe that Hart Hanson will pull a magic situation out of his fist and we’ll be amazed by how clever it turns out, but when was the last time we saw something that clever on the show? Last season, maybe?)
I’m sorry, but I’m not really looking forward to this.
