Episode 4.20: Mayhem on a Cross
Airdate: April 16, 2009
First of all, things are getting crazy with the episode numbers because they have been switching around the order we’ll get to see them. So even though this episode wasn’t supposed to air until alter this season, it’s going to air as ep 4.20. *sigh* FOX is so frustrating sometimes…
Anyway, the good news is that Dr. Gordon Wyatt, aka Stephen Fry will be back for this episode. Booth, Brennan & the team will go after a murderer involved somehow with a death metal band. And check out Sweets!! He’s going under cover as one of the death metal fans! I can’t believe how different he looks in that disguise!!

Dr. Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) goes undercover into the world of death metal music in the BONES episode “Mayhem on a Cross” airing Thursday, April 16 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

The band “ZORCH” in the episode where the lead singer cuts his throat is really a song called “Get to the Choppa” by the band Jameson. They are on ITunes. The song is on their album Down For the Count. Good stuff.
does anyone knows the name of the metal songs on this episode?
the one that angela is listening to sounds like God of Anger by Droid, but the drums are different.
Thanks!
I think that this season will be very exiciting now with Dr.gordon back!!! i am so excited!!!!!
nice, altho it looks more like a black metal band but i guess ill have to see what the music sounds like.how random stephen fry should be involved
It’s Jameson. Chad JB and Ben were members of “Zorch” for the show.
Flex, thanks! I appreciate that, I’ll def. check it out later!
FishRockette, I happened to find this blog on the local arizona scene that has some info on the Blue Shoes: http://azlocal.blogspot.com/2007/05/blue-shoes-put-on-blue-shoes-1980-this.html
I recommend checking it out ;)
It’s either “God of Anger” – Droid or
“Choppah” – Jameson. I kinda think it’s Choppah, however the song isn’t on iTunes, so I’m not 100% sure.
What is the Name of the Metal Song Angela was playing in her office? I liked what I heard of it.
The song at the end by “Noddy Comet” was actually by a band called Blue Shoes, the song is titled Better. iTunes has Best of Blue Shoes, and it’s the first song. You can buy it separately, but I really recommend the whole album, it’s fantastic!
I contacted the record company, and they actually replied to my email. That’s the only release of an album by the band, but it’s almost all of their songs. No other info on the band than that, sorry!
does any1 noe the name of the song that was last played in bones of this episode
The song they used for Noddy Comet was “Better” from “Blue Shoes”.
Fantastic episode! I loved metal!Sweets and the return of Stephen Fry, and the end of the episode was really quite moving (and, of course, funny).
I, too, would really like to know what music they used for Noddy Comet. I haven’t found any info yet. :(
Like Kaslin, I to would like to know about the music used for Noddy Comet!
does anyone know the actual band who’s music they used for “Noddy Comet”??
