First of all, it’s thrilling that Bones is back to giving us a new episode each week. In this one, Booth & Brennan will have to don hazmat suits and help investigate a possibly radioactive lab where a physicist was killed. I love it when they find themselves in unusual situations together. The interaction between then is always so much fun during those times, especially. And I don’t know what a resonance chamber is, but they sure don’t look like they are having very much fun in one…
Booth (David Boreanaz, L) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel, R) are on hand when a hazmat team searches for radioactivity in a lab where they believe a scientist was murdered in the BONES episode “The Science in the Physicist” airing Thursday, April 2 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

A resonance chamber uses sound waves. Certain objects have certain natural frequencies. At certain frequencies, sound waves can hurt very bad. That would be why they look like they’re in pain. I’m pretty sure their bones are resonationg, which is excruciating. It’s physics :P

What do you do in a resonance chamber? Sounds like a futuristic torture device.
I’ll have to look it up…maybe testing how certain materials react? Hmmm…sounds very interesting!

A resonance chamber is a tiny room in which every minute sound inside is bounced off the walls and amplified, causing extremely painful sound waves to bombard the occupant’s eardrums. They can cause deafness if the person is left in there for long enough.
