Ok, I admit it. I’m a grump when it comes to all the gimmicks that TV series pull out from time to time. I want the regular show that I grew to love, no alternate reality, no jump into the far future, no retro blah, blah, blah… But that’s just me. I know that many people like many different things and the show’s producers have to try to please everyone.
Now that that’s off my chest, here’s the latest spoiler for Bones. The show is going to have a film noir episode that will be set in the 1930s and filmed in black and white. I already know that it’s not going to be my cup of tea, but being the die-hard fan that I am, I will watch anyway.
Here’s what executive producer Stephen Nathan says about the twist:
“A lot of shows have done those 40’s film noir episodes,” the show’s executive producer Stephen Nathan tells me. “But what we’re thinking of doing is going back a few more years to a 1930’s era homage to Depression-Era comedies like (1936’s) “My Man Godfrey” (starring William Powell and Carole Lombard) or (1934’s) “The Thin Man” (starring Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles), where they’re living the high life in the midst of the Depression – drinking and having a good time while solving murders.” [Source: TV Guide]

I hope it’ll be a dream again, or something..
‘Cause I wonder how they are going to film this, and what kind of story line it will be!
And they ‘want to do it’, so there’s a change it won’t happen.
But aggree with you, I don’t want all these changes within Time-Line..
If I would I’d be watching Star Trek now..

I agree with you. I hate alternate realities. Why can’t they just keep up with the main story? Why do they want to “copy” Moonlighting? I want the “real” Bones & Booth; the chemistry, those looks, the companionship, the disgusting bodies.
