Jao Magueijo’s Big Bang is a very interesting show. He uses his theories of Modern Cosmology to answer questions that we ask everyday. Why are we here? Where did we come from? Where do we belong?
The Big Bang Theory is the basis for cosmology. The theory not only explains how the universe began but it also explains why the world is the way it is today. Jao believes that he can rewind time to exactly when the Big Bang actually occurred.
The show basically went over my head. I was a bunch of concepts that we were supposed to understand in physics class…but didn’t. This is really advanced thinking and just has your brain moving and deciphering things so fast that you still miss the concepts.
I’m going to have to watch another time to see what more he has to bring to the table.

I am a scientist trained in nuclear physics by the US Navy in both nuclear propulsion and atomic weapons. I have developed a theory I call the VORTEX Theory of Matter.
One of the main principles of this theory in the well known fact that (1) the speed of light is a FUNCTION OF THE MEDIUM IN WHICH IT TRAVELS including “space” ! This also proves (2) that all waves must have a medium in which to travel.
The original speed of light calculations by Micealson-Morley also attempted to disprove the exsistence of the Aether (medium). One of the major fallacies of this was that velocities of waves cannot be added vectorily! The subsequent derivation of the Lorenz-Transform is thus an erroneous calulation. Although the formula E=mc^2 is probably close to correct, it should be noted that this is almost identical to the measued formula for kinetic energy
KE=1/2 mv^2.
The popular idea that the speed of light in a theoretical vacuum is constant ignores the known fact that there is an apparent change of position of stars when the light of the star passes realatively near the sun as observed during eclipses. Some ineresting claculations possibly can be made by measuring the angle of deflection at this time and calculating the required change in refractive index to achieve this angle of deflection. The change in refractive index is a function of the change in the speed of light as affected by gravity. (3) Gravity changes the speed of light just as changing other mediums in which light can pass cahanges light’s speed.
I have not published aspects of the Vortex Thoery of Matter.
There are many aspects to the theory of the Big Bang that have not been considered.
It is believed that gravity is a fuction of mass. Do we assume that mass is created when a star collapses? Is this a premiss for the creation of Black Holes?
It is believed that the frequency of light from the Big Bang has degraded from the visible spectrum to radio waves. The formula for the energy of a quantum of light is a function it’s wave length and Planc’s Constant.
Is it possible that old light waves lose energy? If this is so is it possible tha what we attribute to the Doppler effect is in part due to light wave age? The Expanding Universe may not be what we think!

I have been puzzled by the expansion described
by the Big Bang theory, matter traviling at many times the speed of light. Is this what you are trying to address. The information that is presented to the general public must be dummed down, so I may be very misinformed, and I am subspect of the absoluts dicated by current science. Unfortunitly the science channel must address the lowest commen factor, ME, no education but a disire to learn. If this forum is
what it clames to be, someone will answer my
question, I have no better english to structure
my question. If you wish to become main stream, talk to me.
