Every character from the Adamas on down to the poor, he is so about to be dead private worked. Gaeta is a great villain because he is so clear in his conviction that what he's doing is right. Zarek was like The Emperor, he knew just what to say to play everyone. Even the references about Tory and Starbuck with "Semper Frakkin' Fi." I want that on a T-shirt right alongside Col. Baltar knew about this, apparently. It's explained in the "webisodes" that are on scifi.com.
