The National Ledger reports today that the Band From TV is using the time away from work to increase their performances benefitting charity. Since production on their TV shows has come to a halt because of the writers’ strike, the Band From TV will be doing a lot more live performances, including a mini-tour.
“We have some big gigs ahead that aren’t finalized yet that will raise a lot of money,” reveals vocalist Bonnie Somerville. “We’re also going to play some gigs in Vegas and do, like, a mini-tour,” she adds.
They kick off the performance frenzy with a live performance tonight at the 3 of Clubs club in Hollywood. So if you’re in the area and want to hear some good music and support some great causes, be sure to drop by.
The band includes Hugh Laurie from House, Jamie Denton of Desperate Housewives, Greg Grunberg from Heroes and Cashmere Mafia’s Bonnie Somerville. They’ve recently recorded an album for which they’ll be doing a press tour, and the proceeds will benefit each of their individual charities. What happened to Hugh wanting to be home in England?????????????????????????????????????
wait…when did hugh go back to LA?
Very cool! This sort of sounds like The Rock Bottom Remainders, that band of authors like Stephen King, Dave Barry, Amy Tan, etc. I wonder if they’re any good.
I wish I live in L.A.
You have to respect that.
