Ausiello brings big LOST scoop

Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello has posted a brief, but potentially ginormous, bit of casting scoopage.

Dexter’s Mark Pellegrino has been cast in a pivotal role on Lost. What might that role be? Well, Ausiello doesn’t know for certain, but he’s hearing rumblings that Pellegrino is playing (highlight to read MAJOR spoiler) Jacob in “an off-island, circa-’70s flashback involving some very familiar faces.”

Watch for him in the season finale. Ausiello also provides one of his infamous asterisk teases about who Pellegrino shares screen time with. Remember, all of this apart from Pellegrino’s casting on the show falls under the category of “unconfirmed rumor” — including what role he plays. But Ausiello’s insider info has a good batting average.
