Announcing: Rewatching LOST

There is only one more season of Lost. Are you ready for it?

While we wait for Season 6, which is set to debut next January, I’ve got something to cure the No-Lost-Blues. I’m calling it “Rewatching LOST,” and the idea is simple: in the 33 weeks between now and the end of 2009, I’m going to go back to the beginning and watch all 102 episodes of the first 5 seasons of Lost again. At a rate of 3 episodes a week, I should be able to watch the entire run before Season 6 arrives.

For each episode, I’m going to note: “What Happened,” the major events that occurred; “What We Learned” the major revelations or new information we were given, “Unanswered Questions” that were raised; and “Answered Questions” that were resolved. I’ll also include some personal thoughts — if the episode lends itself to new ideas about over-arcing ideas from the entire series’ run.

Here’s the cool part: there will be cross-links between the episode pages for each question and its answer, so you can go right from one to the other. If something still nags you about a question back from Season 1 or 2, for example, you’ll be able to follow along and find out if that question was ever answered, or if it has yet to be.

The first edition of Rewatching LOST will be posted later today, with subsequent editions being published every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I invite you to come along for the ride — I promise tons of brain-twisting Lost fun.

I’ve been re-watching since May 23rd. I just finished Season 2 yesterday. Watching 49 episodes practically back to back to back gives a much different perspective than the usual one per week or longer. A hint: (if you are watching from DVDs): activate “captions” then listen through headphones. It makes for better understanding, and you don’t miss any dialogue.

It’s really great to experience “previously on LOST” when previously was just a few minutes or hours ago.

Another hint: watch and listen closely to the dialogue in “S2E18 – Dave”

I agree. I didn’t start watching Lost untill the 3rd season. I have been confused about a lot so this will help. Thanks
