When I first heard that Angelina Jolie would be playing Mariane Pearl, wife of murdered journalist Daniel Pearl I was a bit skeptical. I didn’t think the blonde bombshell could pull off a "Jewish look". Looking at this picture though from the set of the movie makes me change my mind. I think she really looks like Mariane.

Actually, jennifer aniston was supposed to play the part of Marianne Pearl. Marianne chose Angelina.

erm… blonde bombshell?? Also think the people who believe an afro mixed descent should have played the part should perhaps look up the word actor? She’s not Mariane Pearl, she playing her character. People have their hair dyed, temporary tatoos put on, permanent tatoos covered up, nails painted, contact lenses put in to change their eye colour for parts all the time. This is no different. Why create racist issues? Mariane welcomed her to play the part, the casting crew welcomed her to play the part. It’s not about what she look like – but her ability to make us believe in her character. It’s a term better known as acting.
