Even when Amy Winehouse isn’t in the news, she’s in the news. Apart from the odd story of an unenthusiastic performance at the EMAs, or of being arrested in Norway on possession charges, it’s been relatively Winehouse free of late. But now, she’s indirectly in the news again, this time because of her husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

Fielder-Civil was arrested on Thursday after police used a battering ram to gain entry to the house he and Amy share in Camden, London. After searching the property extensively, Blake was arrested and charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He is accused, along with co-defendant Anthony Kelly, of trying to persuade a man he allegedly assaulted to withdraw from giving evidence during the trial, which was due to start on Monday morning.
Fielder-Civil and pal Michael Brown were charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a barman in June. The latest case centres around allegation that Fielder-Civil, Kelly, and 3 other men were trying to pervert the course of justice, either by allegedly paying “victim” James King £200,000 to withdraw his complaint, and then flying him out of the country before the hearing in the hope that the case would collapse.
Police were tipped off about the apparent plot by The Daily Mirror newspaper.
Fielder-Civil appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court today, where he was remanded in custody, to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on November 23. Winehouse was present in the public gallery, along with friend, and fellow druggie Pete Doherty.
Sporting her trademark beehive, she mouthed: “I love you” and repeatedly blew kisses to Fielder-Civil every time he turned around and smiled at her.
Amy, drop the loser, no matter what the outcome of this case, he’s bad news for you, and without a doubt is contributing to your downward spiral in to drug use and depression.
