The last month has seen intense speculation over the state of Amy Winehouse’ relationship with jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
I reported back in April how Winehouse had stopped visiting Blake and even forgot his birthday. Then later, it was reported than Blake was after a £3 million payout in the event of a divorce.
Now however, everything seems to be back on track, and the couple are reportedly planning a second wedding to renew their vows and to prove to the press and public how in love they are with each other.
According to The Sunday Mirror newspaper, the couple are planning a ceremony in East London as soon as Fielder-Civil is released from Pentonville Prison.
A source said:
“Amy and Blake are more determined than ever to show the world they are together. As soon as he is out they will be renewing their wedding vows – they want to put two fingers up to those who want them apart.”
“They want another wedding, a family and are even planning to set up a business together.”
There may be one little problem with this plan however, the fact that Blake isn’t guaranteed to be getting out of prison any time soon. There’s the little matter of a trial that’s got to happen first, and only if he’s found innocent will he be finding his way back to Amy.
This news comes just a day after it was reported that Fielder-Civil had told Winehouse to clean up her act. His mother Georgette told the press that he wanted her to give up the “partying and drug-taking” and wanted a new life of “picnics and museums” when he gets out of jail.
I have to say I find the image of Winehouse and Fielder-Civil walking around a museum and then going for a picnic in the park pretty funny, and just can’t see it happening. Sure, people have turned their lives around and weaned themselves off drink and drugs, but I fear these two are so far in, there’s little chance of escape.
