Dayanara Torres is keeping busy these days with her series Watch Over Me and her relationship with Amaury Nolasco. I’m happy for them both and she is beautiful!!
In an exclusive interview with People En Español the actress chats about her new “friend” Nolasco, Marc Anthony, and Jennifer Lopez.
Torres, 32, says her friendship with Nolasco goes back a few years, and that they are currently sharing a special moment in their lives. “He is a very sweet guy. I’m happy … We get along really, really well. We’re both Puerto Rican and speak the same language,” says Torres about Nolasco, 36, her date at last month’s ALMA Awards, their first public outing as a couple.
As for Marc Anthony, whom she was married to for four years before their divorce in 2004, Torres says the relationship between them “was never bad” and that her priorities remain their two children – Christian, 6, and Ryan, 4.
In recent paparazzi photos, her children are seen hugging Lopez, 37, who married Anthony four days after his divorce from Torres was final.
“I don’t know why people expect bad things,” says Torres about her feelings toward Lopez, who recently told People En Español that she considers the children part of her family.
“For some to go through what I did, it would have been easy perhaps to feel hurt and then try to hurt others in turn and insult them,” she said. “I took another path – the high road.”

I think that Dayanara is too much for Marc anyway. She is very classy beautiful and overall talented. She is very humble and I love her attitude towards her divorce with Marc. She chose self dignity and moved on rather than to sit there and dwell over everything. WTG! Dayanara.
Here’s the thing….it’s too bad that the names “Marc Anthony & JLo” follow this woman everywhere. Good grief, she is her own person, a delightful one I might add. She was Miss Universe BEFORE Marc….would you people let her live her life. The woman fell in love, married and had two children with a sad excuse for a man…hopefully she sets her standards a bit higher this time.

[...] Amaury Nolasco’s Girlfriend – Dayanara Torres [...]
Readers and fans are being mislead. Do you picture Dayanara and Marc in a happy marriage that was destroyed by Jennifer? He and Dayanara had enough incompatible between them to make their marriage unhappy. No one “stole” him away.
Marc wanted to marry Jennifer back in 1999. It didn’t work out then because she was involved with Puff (Diddy). But she and Marc remained friends. He married Dayanara in 2000. He paid off her debts, stemming from a lawsuit filed by a recording company. They started a family right away. He was on tour a lot. Reading the archives from that time paints a different picture than the spin you hear now. The first time she moved out, with their first child, was in the summer of 2002.
Dayanara separated again from Marc in October 2003, and filed for divorce in January 2004. Whenever talking to the media, Dayanara and her supporters have focused on one thing: blaming the failure of her marriage on Jennifer Lopez. There were rumors, during the marriage, of Marc and other women. Included was a Miami waitress, who claimed Marc had fathered her child. Results from repeated DNA tests were negative. Jennifer was with someone else (Ben Affleck) during the times the Anthonys separated.
So Who is taking the high road? Stating you won’t talk about something is basically the SAME as talking about it. How many years will Dayanara need to create a show business career for herself in the U.S? Guess we’ll know when she stops using Marc and Jennifer for publicity.
To Whom it may concern:
I love Marc Anthony and I think if he thought he would have been able to marry Jennifer he would have not married Dayanara. I think he loved Dayanara but not in the same way he loves Jennifer. I can’t help feel sorry for Dayanara. I know if I were married to Marc and that happened to me especially after two children —–I may not ever get over it. He is a lot of person. I really think that Marc was sincere when he married Dayanara. Maybe he wanted to forget Jennifer. I still think Marc was Jennifer’s last choice ———-but it turned out to be great for the both of them. I hope Dayanara finds true happiness. Bobbie
