Amanda Seyfried filming Letters to Juliet

When I saw Amanda Seyfried in “Mamma Mia,” I knew right away she’d be a big star (called that one!). She’s just 23, but the actress has been working steadily and has a slate of films coming up, including “Letters to Juliet.”

She stars as an American girl on vacation in Italy who finds an unanswered "letter to Juliet" — one of thousands left at the fictional lover’s Verona courtyard. So she decides to go on a quest to find the lovers referenced in the letter. The romantic drama also stars Vanessa Redgrave and Gael Garcia Bernal, and arrives in theaters May 14, 2010. Here she is filming a scene in Bryant Park.
