After the Writers Strike: Where Do TV Comedies Stand?

Notes
With just a few loose ends left to either tie up or snip away, the big bad writers strike of 2007–2008 is finally almost (but not quite) over.

Members of the Writers Guild of America East and West divisions will meet this afternoon and evening to vote on the terms of the temporary agreement reached with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers last weekend. And, if all goes well, they’ll ratify it.

In anticipation of a positive outcome by the end of today, networks, industry publications, and bloggers alike spent all weekend and Monday building up hype over which shows will and will not be returning to the tube after the three-month catastrophe officially comes to a definite close.

Here’s how comedy television series shape up thus far according to both the rumor mills and those in the know. I’ll update the following list as needed to keep interested readers accurately informed.
