The remainder of the 3rd episode of After The Attack focused on an attack 1998 by a 6 foot tall Kangaroo of a 13 year old boy, Steven.
In this episode Dave goes over the attack of a young boy, Steven Shorten that was attacked by a kangaroo. He was just a young golfer that was out on the golf course when attacked by a vicious kangaroo. At the time he was 13 years old. He was searching for hi lost ball when a large male kangaroo spots him looking for the ball and just attacks him out of now where.
He tried his best to get the animal away from him but to no avail. He screamed and shouted as best as he could but the animal just got the better of him. Kangaroos are a normal sight on Australian golf courses and they even out number people in rural areas of the country. Kangaroos are not know to be very aggressive, but the males are known to be aggressive when they think that their territories are being invaded.
The boy suffered very serve injuries and could not open his right eye for about 1 year and also had to receive artificial tear ducts. The most horrific thing about the attack was the teasing that he faced by classmates, he was even suspended over 6 times due to fighting.
