Actor Brad Renfro Found Dead at Home

Actor Brad Renfro has been found dead in his home yesterday.  The cause of death is unknown but Brad has had his share of trouble with drugs and alcohol in recent years.  It’s being reported that he was drinking with friends the night before he died.  An autopsy could be performed as early as today.

His lawyer, Richard Kaplan, said that Brad "was working hard on his sobriety.  He was doing well. He was a nice person."

You might remember that Brad was charged with driving while intoxicated and attempted possession of heroin.  After pleading guilty to the charges he served 10 days in jail in May 2006.  If you’re confused about the heroin charge (as I was), it stems from when he was arrested for trying to buy the drug off of an undercover police officer in 2005.

Brad’s film credits include The Client (1994), Sleepers (1996), Apt Pupil (1998)and The Jacket (2005).

He was 25 years old.  Very sad.
