A Family Guy movie is still on the table

We haven’t heard anything about a Family Guy movie lately, but in a Variety interview Seth MacFarlane semi-confirmed that a Family Guy movie is still on the table:

“Beyond that, MacFarlane said he’d like to continue expanding his Fuzzy Door shingle to include multiple skeins and feature projects. And that includes a long-rumored “Family Guy” movie, which MacFarlane would like to produce in the next few years. There’s no firm plan yet, although any feature will likely center on homicidal toddler Stewie, he said.”

Judging from the Simpsons full-length movie, and how truly sucktacular that was, I’m guessing that it’s kind of tricky to transform a 22 minute animated sitcom into a 90 minute full-length feature. After all, the whole point of the Simpsons movie was apparently to let us all know that SOMEBODY really likes the wide pan camera angle that zooms in on a whole bunch of people. Because we saw it like what – 45 times? Yeah.

I’ad much rather see Seth and the gang focus on getting us more Family Guy episodes rather than a whole movie – what about you?

I liked “The Simpsons Movie” and I would love to see a “Family Guy” one as well. I’m not sure if the comedy style would translate as well as “The Simpsons” did but I’d like to see Seth McFarlane give it a try.

The Simpsons Movie was fantastic. Why are you being so harsh on it? It was entertaining, and that’s all you can ask for from a lighthearted comedy

I enjoyed the Simpson’s movie. The wide pans didn’t bother me. I would like to see a Family guy movie. There’s so much going on in each episode. It could be done. Every episode, I find myself wanting more of the show, than our sad little 22 minutes. I say go for it, if it sucks, they can put in the show and ride off the joke for about 2 years.

the simpsons movie was TRULY sucktacular . and if seth and the gang dose decide to make one id rather it not be about stewie again . I mean how about brian this time or at least have the main theme of it surround him.Ive left a coment somwere else like this here but seth needs to create another talking girl dog that would be perfect for brian and they maybe even end up getting married or somthing I dont know its just my personal opinion.also her name should be teina

my suggestion is that stewie has a divise and some how he and chris switch bodies and they have to solve the problem some how because the divise is broken. (it’s a lame idea i know but it would be realy cool) or it could be an eposoide. and if anybody doesn’t like my suggestion then let’s see you come up with a better idea. yeah.

Family guy is terrible this season its not funny just stupid.
My friends like it as much as I do but all agree and losing interest in the poorly written show to bad it used to be great.

Being contraversial and funny can go hand in hand but not this season they didn’t.

It was just lame and contraversial simply for its sake no humor .
