The Part of Hugh Laurie We Don’t See on TV

I’m talking about the top of his head. When we see him on TV, the camera angles are perfect, the makeup and hair styling is just so…we never see the top of his head quite like this:

Hugh Laurie

Now, I’m not criticizing! I actually think it’s very manly to have thinning hair! And I love to see how stars are real people after all.

Hugh, you’re still sexy to me! ;-)

It’s absolutely humanity and there is nothing shameful about it.Im glad he isnt embarassed to show it, becouse if people really like him they won’t give attention and actually they won’t care about all these unimportant things.

Since season 2, I noticed there was a blur spot where his bald spot is. I think they digitally touch up his hair on the shots where you quickly see the back of his head.
Am I the only one who noticed that ?

I think he’s both handsome and inteligent… but he shouldn’t shave ever again- beard suits him so damn fine! ;)

I love him and always will, but I’m sure they make him put something extra on his head for the shows and public appearances. Thou I love he’s really manly careless look when its up to him

Surprise surprise, the actors are actually STYLED when they appear on tv.. ^__^ Personally I don’t think House/Laurie’s looks is what’s attractive about him. He’s not that “hot”, but like with just about any normal person, the inside is what matters. If he’d been a less liked character (as “House” OR irl) people in gerenal wouldn’t have thought him that “sexy” or attractive. :)

I saw him too and even though there is a bald spot when you see him in person, it doen’t actually look THAT big.

I think the bald spot is only notable when he low. I saw him too and I didn’t notice anything

I’ve seen him in person once… they do a great job of coverin it up in public too! Oh god, who cares… he is still hot!

What I really find revolting is that some idiot with a camera took a picture of him while he’s just filling up his gas tank, not trying to look good for anyone. I mean, if he didn’t brush his hair, or he just took off a ball cap, yeah, you’re going to see his hair is thinning. Just as bad as making fun of female actresses who get caught in public –gasp!– without makeup.

He goes to the set, he has professionals combing, styling, brushing, whatever, to make him look the way the producers want his character to look, but he doesn’t have those people follow him home, ya know.

I think Hugh Laurie is damn sexy, and I’m way younger than he is.

I have absolutely no problems with the fact that he has a bald stop. He’s a human being, and all human beings age; he’s not excluded. I never really notice things like that. I knew he had a bald spot, but I never really cared. It’s natural. Thank God he’s one of the few actors out there that are proud to age.

Of course he still sexy… he always have the bald spot…in the first eps oh house, season 1, it is notable…he appeared in many shows with the baldspot and he look wonderful too.

I’m just wondering who has decided on that.

Hugh was on a talk show here in the UK (Parkinson) and he referred to the fact that he had a bald spot on the back of his head.
He felt that that confirmed that he could no longer play young parts.
