That viral event that happened at Johnny Cupcakes in Boston this morning was indeed the unveiling of the second piece of “Damon Carlton and a Polar Bear” art. This one is by Olly Moss, who says that it was done as an homage to Saul Bass movie posters. Titled “Locke’s Secret,” it depicts the moment when Locke arrives on the island and realizes that his legs have been miraculously healed.
Like “The Numbers” before it, “Locke’s Secret” is available to purchase in a limited edition print for $50, with just 300 being made. The announced website where you can view the full-size poster and order the print is thatandbasketweaving.com.
Also at the event, 8 lucky fans received laser-engraved wooden skate decks that feature that skateboarder/Dharma logo I mentioned yesterday. You can get a look at the skate deck design here. Blogger and Lost fan Kyle Scribner, who lives in Boston, attended the event and has a full breakdown of what happened. (Abbreviated version: the first 8 fans were given the skate decks, which have the URL on them, and that’s it. No celebrity appearances or anything else.)
This is turning out to be pretty cool, and I like that they’re spreading out the events in cities all over the U.S. Wonder where the next one will be, and when…
