I knew Gary Busey was acting a wee bit creepy, but he really pushed it over the edge when he practically attacked Jennifer Garner on the Red Carpet. You could tell that Ryan Seacrest was doing his best to diffuse the situation, but really, what could he do, other than call security? The whole thing was totally awkward. Thank goodness the lovely Laura Linney was on hand to rescue Jennifer. Either or both women should have hauled off and smacked him.

I can’t figure out if Gary Busey is actually certifiable, or just having fun making people think that he is. Either way, he’s going to get banned from awards shows before long.
Which is shame, because it’s the most interesting thing that happened all night.
This is what happened: God, who every Christian knows does not condone homosexuality in no uncertain terms, was told by His angels that Ben Affleck was going to do that awful gay skit. God said, “I have something for that!”. In steps Gary Busey. God can and will use anyone. The rest is history. For now and always Jennifer Garner will be known as the actress that Gary Busey mauled at the 80th Oscar ceremony. But Ben should have been there, protecting his wife. Not somewhere doing something God considers an abomination.
