This was one of my all time favorites. I hadn't seen it in ummm - well - years! We bought the DVD this last October to watch with our kids as a fun fright.

I remember being so scared by this movie, but watching it this year - well let's just say my kids laughed through the whole thing and the words "this is stupid" seemed to become more a part of the movie than I had remembered.

Guess it's one of those my husband and I will keep in our library to bring out and watch in our little efforts to recapture our own youth and not share it with the kids anymore :)

I should also mention that we arrived in the middle of the local "Dragon Festival" and that the aforementioned freaky children could be seen nightly holding hands and dancing around this gigantic papier mache dragon. Chanting. Yes...chanting.

This has to be one of my childhood horror movies that marked me the most. Not that I found it terrifying, but rather whenever I go somewhere and see a pack of blonde children my first thought is immediately "children of the cooooorrrrn!"

Like last New Years. My fiancee and I were in Luxembourg for our anniversary, stuck unintentionally out in the middle of nowhere beside this creepy castle. We literally could not get out of the town, as no buses were running during the holidays and it was a good hour from Luxembourg City. Then, mysteriously, in this tiny town with no cafes, restaurants, or visible inhabitants, was a day camp for children. Most blonde and speaking a weird form of German. We spent our entire 4 days there poking each other whenever we saw the kids and whispering "children of the cooooorn!" and then squealing like idiots.
