Now Nets Don’t Want Carmelo Anthony?
The Carmelo Anthony trade saga took an unexpected turn on Tuesday when the New Jersey Nets reportedly pulled out of a proposed four-team trade. The trade, which was being held up by the Denver Nuggets so they could beg Carmelo to stay and also talk to other teams, included the Charlotte Bobcats and Utah Jazz.

Seattle Seahawks Sign Brandon Stokley
Just when you think Brandon Stokley’s career is over, the pesky wide receiver finds his way back to the NFL. About two months ago, the Denver Broncos put Stokley on the IR. Andrew Gallo Begins Descent to Hell
Andrew Gallo, the drunk who killed three people including Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart, has been convicted of three counts of second-degree murder. Additionally, the murderer was also convicted of hit-and-run driving, drunken driving, and DUI and causing great bodily injury. At his December 10th sentencing, Andrew Gallo faces up to 50 years in prison.

Lil Wayne Releases “I Am Not A Human Being”
It’s Lil Wayne’s birthday today and he’s in Rikers Island prison. But that didn’t stop him from releasing his ninth album, “I Am Not A Human Being.”
From now until October 12, the 10-track album is available digitally. At that time, hard copies of the album will be on sale with three additional tracks.

Segway Owner Dies Riding One Off a Cliff
In December, British tycoon Jimi Heselden bought Segway, Inc. And on Sunday, he died after accidentally riding one of the two-wheeled devices off a cliff and into a river.
The 62-year-old was testing a rugged cross-country version of the Segway on the grounds of his estate in northern England when he went off a 30 foot cliff, plunging into the River Wharfe.

Titanic Actress Gloria Stuart Dies at 100
Actress Gloria Stuart died on Sunday at her home in West Los Angeles at the age of 100. Though the actress starred in a number of films in the 1930s, you probably know Stuart from her Oscar-nominated performance as the 101-year-old version of Kate Winslet’s character Rose in the 1997 film, “Titanic.”
According to her daughter, Stuart had been diagnosed with lung cancer several years ago.
