In a stunning upset, Fabricio Werdum defeated Fedor Emelianenko at the Strikeforce/M-1 Global show on Saturday. In a fight that most people thought would be an easy win for Fedor, Werdum came away victorious just 69 seconds into the main event.

The U.S. soccer team’s run at the World Cup came to end on Saturday as they were defeated by Ghana 2-1 in overtime. Things weren’t looking good for the American team in the first half. Hands Across the Sand

In a 15-minute show of solidarity to raise awareness about offshore drilling, 750 Hands Across the Sand events took place across the nation on Saturday.

At noon on local beaches across America (and even internationally), participants joined hands to form a line in the sand. The Hands Across the Sand message is “NO to Offshore Oil Drilling, YES to Clean Energy.”
