The Keeneland fall meet came to an end on Halloween, and the Grade 2 Fayette went to Blame.
Blame was my Super Derby top, and he ran a big race to land the place behind lone speedster Regal Ransom that day. He was facing quality older horses in Lexington, including multiple graded winner Parading. The latter had the lead in the lane on Oct 31st, but Blame wore him down for his first graded tally. The Paley Center for Media has a lot of vampire happenings in the works right now. First of all, they have their own favorite vampire poll. David Boreanaz is, of course, included prominently in the poll. They plan to use the info from the poll to set up the agenda for the vampire weekend coming up.
They’ve planned an entire weekend of vampire events, including one for Angel. Here’s the specific info, or… More »

Some of you were confused about the answer to yesterday’s question. Jonte’s inhaler turned into a gun.
I want to thank all of you for participating in this month’s FEARnet FEARtober Contest! There was a huge response and I hope you had fun. Thank you for helping to spread the word. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again–I have the BEST readers.

Episode 5.08 The Foot in the Foreclosure
Airdate: November 19, 2009
This is the Bones episode where we get to meet Booth’s grandfather. I’m excited about it because I know we’ll be able to learn more back story for our favorite FBI agent. ;-)
I take a look at the captions that came with these photos and it makes me think that he may have to decide about putting his grandfather into an assisted living situation. That’s got to be a tough… More »
One hour ahead, one hour behind – what difference does an hour make in the spring and fall when we change our clocks? More than it seems, say experts, although the effects may be worse in the spring than in the fall.
“Spring Forward, Fall Back” is a time change that affects millions of people around the world. In the spring, we set the clock ahead an hour, in essence losing an hour, as we try to cheat Mother Nature, and… More »
I have been working on digital collaboration for the last five years and I would continue on working on this field for the years to come. The main technology or platform I use is Microsoft SharePoint which is an enterprise class platform for developing applications across portals & collaboration, documents library, business process and workflows, etc.
The digital collaboration space is growing and the enterprise keeps on implementing and improving their collaboration capability across the whole organization. Google knows this as… More »
Happy Halloween!
I love Christopher Walken. Who doesn’t? Walken has been known to do a special Halloween performance every once in awhile, such as his brilliant reading of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven”, but this year, he has brought us his interpretation of Lady Gaga’s song “Poker Face” on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.
Personally, I like his version better. Check it out below:

Larry Johnson has been suspended for using gay slurs and criticizing his head coach. The Kansas City running back has seen plenty of action this season even though he has had minimal success.
In the first seven games of the 2009 NFL season, Johnson has 132 carries for 358 yards. He also has 12 catches for 76 yards. His 2.7 yards per carry and his lack of a touchdown have been disappointing developments for the Chiefs — to say the least.

Episode 6.08 – Teamwork
Air Date: November 16, 2009
From the captions under each of this House episode’s photos, this will most likely be a turning point episode. We’ve been hearing the spoilers…that Jennifer Morrison will leave the regular cast, that House will get his medical license reinstated and that Thirteen will come back to the team… It looks like all of those things are definitely going to be touched upon in this episode.
Cameron (Jennifer Morrison, L) and Chase (Jesse Spencer, R)… More »
After Mitlon Bradley’s tumultuous season with the Chicago Cubs, the writing is on the wall. It’s only a matter of time before he’s traded. Where will Milton Bradley be traded? Here are his top trade destinations.
Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays struggled at the plate a bit in 2009. Bat Burrell as the team’s DH was a flop. The Rays could decide to trade Burrell for Bradley and live with his antics.
Los Angeles Angels
The Angels had a very good year and featured… More »
Vince Carter was tearing up his old team when he twisted his ankle and missed the rest of the game. Carter, now of the Orlando Magic, had 16 points in 15 minutes against the New Jersey Nets before suffering the sprained ankle.
After the game, Carter was confident that he could bounce back quickly. In fact, he’s aiming to return on Sunday against the Toronto Raptors — another of his former teams.
In the first one and a half games of the… More »
Last night (Oct. 30), Slipknot performed their song “Snuff” from All Hope Is Gone on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I’m glad that the late night shows are starting to showcase metal acts, and this one actually sounds almost decent for once.

Daniel Briere has been playing through a groin injury but, after tweaking it during Tuesday night’s game against the Washington Capitals, the Philadelphia Flyers forward will be sitting out for a while.
He’s being listed as being day-to-day but I’m sure the Flyers are a little anxious considering the fact that he missed a whopping 53 games last season due to groin and abdominal injuries. Hopefully, this will heal quickly but he really should have sat out as soon as he… More »
Just once, I’d like to read a story about Sean Avery being a decent human being and acting in a way that shows he appreciates the privilege of being a professional hockey player. So far, it’s just been more and more affirmation of what a douche he is. Washington Capitals head coach, Bruce Boudreau, has revealed in a new book called Gabby: Confessions of a Hockey Lifer, that Avery made some derogatory comments about his weight… More »
The Detroit Red Wings will be without forward, Valtteri Filppula, for up to two months after he broke his wrist during the team’s 6-5 loss against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night.
It’s too bad because the 25-year-old is off to a decent start so far this year. In 11 games he racked up two goals and four assists. It’s not stellar but it’s good enough to miss in the lineup. Well, like I’ve been saying about all of the injuries… More »
