A Nobel Gig for Jada Pinkett Smith
Her show may be on hiatus, but HawthoRNe star Jada Pinkett Smith is not letting the break slow her down in the least.
People magazine reports that the actress and her movie star husband Will Smith have a very impressive joint gig coming up: traveling to Oslo, Norway, in order to co-host the Norwegian Nobel Committee’s 16th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert on December 11.

Robert Downey, Jr. spills during Iron Man 2 set visit!
The cast and crew of “Iron Man 2” are hard at work on the movie, scheduled for release in theaters on May 7, 2010. Leverage: Beth Riesgraf Rocks the Stunts
It’s so hard picking my favorite character on Leverage since I love the entire cast. But I think if push came to shove, quirky-yet-lovable Parker would have to get my vote.
The cunning character, an ace thief, is played by actress Beth Riesgraf (pictured above), of course. Doyle Done: Legend Finishes 17th in WSOPE
The WSOPE is down to it’s September 9 and unfortunately for Texas Dolly, he is out in 17th place. After a raise from Daniel Negreanu, Doyle moved all-in on the button. Small blind James Akenhead – who is part of the November 9 – moved all-in with AKs and took down Doyle’s Q9.

Because of the busy schedule I have lots of backlog of tech magazines to read and one of them is my Wired subscription. This morning I managed to pick up my August (can you imagine that, its already October!) Wired magazine and was reading the article which discuss how much time you spend in front of a screen. Ricky Nolasco Strikes Out 16 Batters
Ricky Nolasco has been relatively disappointing this season. However, Nolasco reminded everyone of his potential with his performance on Wednesday. Going up against the Atlanta Braves, Nolasco struck out 16 batters — an all-time record for a Florida Marlins pitcher.
Perhaps most impressively, Nolasco struck out nine straight batters. With one more strike out, he would have tied Tom Seaver for the most consecutive strikeouts in a game.

James Harden Injury Update – Sprained Ankle
James Harden, the third overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder, is quickly figuring out how physically demanding it is on the professional level. The rookie out of Arizona State got hit in the eye in the first day of training camp and then sprained his ankle on the second day.
