We’ll be able to play House, because of the upcoming new video game of House M.D. Many thanks to Zach for the heads up on the details about this game that is due to be released this holiday season for the PC and Nintendo DS and next holiday season for the Nintendo Wii.
I know a couple of Wii fanatics who are also House fans and I already know what they’ll be getting… More »
I’m starting another section—or subsection or whatever you call these things—on MMOtaku called WTF Moment for those rare occasions in MMOdom when you feel the need to do a double take. In this first installment, I present you with a short piece on my surprise at finding out that there is such an animal as Zhu Xian 2.
WTF?!? Yes, my sentiments exactly. The reaction stems from the fact that Zhu Xian, obviously Zhu Xian 2′s predecessor, has been in circulation… More »
This evening, at the request of my wife, I’ve been playing around with iTunes on her computer. I’ve got to say I haven’t missed anything. I’m simply trying to get her library to update itself and remove references to songs that are no longer available to her on our home network.
The songs aren’t available because the computer they were stored on is now offline and I’m not sure when it will be getting fixed again. You’d think there would be… More »
I asked; you responded. In September, Bizzia’s Freelance category theme will be Social Networking.
We’ll start off with what I’m calling the Social Networking Showdown, which will include both social networking and social bookmarking sites. As a freelance writer, you don’t possibly have time to participate in all of the social networks out there. That’s a fact. Unless you hire someone to help you with social networking, it just isn’t possible. Along with the big boys, like Twitter and Facebook, there… More »
As the Securities and Exchange Commission continues to clamp down on unscrupulous Wall Street denizens, Chairman Mary Schapiro has written an open letter to U.S. investment CEOs that warns against using bonuses to compensate brokers. According to Schapiro, such a practice encourages brokers to aim for more sales at the expense of the customer’s interest.
In her letter, Schapiro took note of recent news stories that revealed many CEOs using increased commissions and upfront bonuses to hire brokers, warning that such… More »
The Boeing Company has released a statement revealing that Scott E. Carson, 63, has decided to retire from his post as the executive in charge of overseeing Boeing’s commercial plane division. As he held his position since 2006, Carson has been closely associated with the delayed and problematic development of Boeing’s much-hyped 787 Dreamliner.
Carson’s successor, who was previously top executive of Boeing’s military programs, is James F. Albaugh and he will replace Carson on Tuesday, even though Carson’s retirement will… More »
Disney’s recent decision to purchase Marvel Entertainment certainly was not meant to cause harm to Paramount Pictures, which is owned by Viacom, but the deal may end up posing a significant problem for Paramount. The worry stems from a one-year film distribution deal that Paramount formed with Marvel, one that Disney does not plan to extend.
The deal gave Paramount the right to distribute Marvel’s next five films, which includes “Iron Man 2,” “The First Avenger: Captain America,” and “The Avengers.”… More »
I don’t care much for 2D massively multiplayer online role-playing games, but Fantasy Zhu Xian, another quality product of China-based Perfect World Co. Ltd., commands attention. As you may have probably already surmised from my intro, the game is in 2D. What has me all riled up is the fact that Fantasy Zhu Xian features turn-based combat.
Yeah, yeah, it’s nothing new. Turn-based combat is, after all, staple in most role-playing games. As I write this, several successful RPGs with turn-based… More »
So I don’t know how much of a surprise this is to anyone but Games Industry and Games Beat is reporting that we shouldn’t expect to see a Ps4 or a XBox 720 anytime soon.
In fact, we’ll probably see a PS3.5 instead.
Personally, that doesn’t make me the least bit sad since I can’t see me buying a brand new system every couple of years. The $600 I paid for my 20GB Ps3 was painful to pay – though worth… More »
Last year, Utah secured their place in history by claiming the longest winning streak in major college football history. Many people believed that the team should have been in the national championship game. With a new quarterback, though, many fans question whether or not the Utes will be competitive again this season.
Coach Kyle Whittingham, however, is staying quiet about who will be the starting quarterback for Utah when the team takes the field against Utah State on Thursday night. During… More »
Will September send markets south again?
The January effect is probably the most popular calendar anomaly. When it holds true, the first three weeks of a new year provide abnormally high returns for those who invest in small-cap stocks.
But September, has provided some pretty consistent results as well. Unfortunately, the results are negative!
The month of September has been unkind to the stock market more often than not. The trend is so noticeable that in several students in my Investments class have asked me, “Why isn’t there a… More »
