China cracks down on games with erotic content
Yes, there you have it. China cracks the whip again, this time against what it suspects as soft pornography in online games. Here’s the lowdown from online games portal 17173:
China’s administration department has launched a campaign against erotic content on the Internet. Recently, the Ministry of Culture released a notice warning players about erotic content in some online games.

Jason Varitek Re-Signs with Red Sox
Although there were some rumors earlier in the offseason that Jason Varitek would leave the Boston Red Sox, those rumors turned out to be unfounded. On Friday, Varitek re-signed with the Red Sox after agreeing to a one-year deal.
According to multiple reports, the contract is worth $5 million. There’s an option year for a second season that would cost the Red Sox $5 million. If they turn down the option year, Varitek will have a $3 million player option.

Guitar Hero World Tour Drum Set, On Sale 15th Feb
Guitar Hero World Tour drum set will be available as a standalone music equipment from 15th Feb 2009 onwards, says Neversoft. A set retails for $100 and can be found at BestBuy and GameStop in North America from that fateful day. Europe and Australia GH fans have to wait a bit though.

No Poker
I didn’t get to play poker last night. Cancelled because of only 4 players interested. It’s true though, you can’t really have a good startup game with only four players. Serena Williams has done it again! She has won her 10th Grand Slam title by dominating the court against Darina Safina on Saturday at the 2009 Australian Open.
