Joba Chamberlain, the young starting pitcher for the New York Yankees who has massive potential, is headed to see Dr. James Andrews following an MRI on his shoulder. Chamberlain left his last start after experiencing pain in his shoulder.
It’s never good news when pitchers go visit Dr. Andrews, who is an expert on shoulder injuries. If Chamberlain has a serious shoulder injury, he could be sidelined for quite a while. Even if the injury is relatively minor,… More »

According to at least one report, Brett Favre is about to be traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The report indicates that the trade could be done as early as Wednesday.
Tampa Bay would be a decent enough fit for Favre. Coach Jon Gruden likes veteran players and Brett Favre would definitely step in and get the starting gig. While the Buccaneers aren’t overly talented on offense, they do have a few good offensive weapons that will ease… More »
I’ve been immersing myself in a lot of SQL work the past week or so for a project going on at work. I’ve come a long way in my knowledge of SQL up to this point and the past few days have expanded that understanding into some new areas as well. One of those areas is on how to use some SQL Tools included with Microsoft SQL Server that allows you to really see under the hood of what’s… More »

Sure Barry Sanders can laugh now. He left.
It is a curse put on me over 1,000 years ago by a witch. How could she have known the Detroit Lions would be so bad?
My father used to tell stories of the Lions in the 50′s winning the World Championship. They did not have the Super Bowl back then. The Detroit Lions have never played in a Super Bowl.

Remember my recipe for a Radler? In this month’s Every Day with Rachael Ray, she offers a similar recipe – but with lime juice. I’ll confess that I haven’t yet tried it (I just saw the recipe) but it’s on my list. If you try it first, let me know how it is!

Could Brett Favre be playing football in the sunshine next year? Would Deanna Favre be happier?
The Squibster is after the all time record for writing about Brett Favre or maybe just an invite to the house on Thanksgiving. Only this year it looks like he won’t be torching my Lions.
Favre’s career with the Green Bay Packers is all but over after two days of extended meetings with coach Mike… More »
Well, here’s a fun little wacky-news bite. Production on Russell Crowe’s upcoming Nottingham film has been postponed because the leaves in Sherwood Forest are the wrong color. Crowe plays the Sheriff of Nottingham, with Sienna Miller as Maid Marion in the Ridley Scott-directed movie. (Is it appropriate here to say I hope she doesn’t steal Crowe away from whomever he’s with right now? Nah, I guess not.) Read more…
Anyway, Wenn News is reporting that filming has been… More »
Yes, it’s true. The starting quarterback for NBC’s team (Notre Dame – if you didn’t already know) was caught on camera at some “beer-drinking Olympics.” But that’s not the bad part. You need to check out the photos to see what he was caught wearing!
Jimmy Clausen has a lot of work to do for Charlie Weis’ offense – namely win more than three games this season! Partaking in these types of parties (or events) probably isn’t… More »
This was the WORST ECW SHOW OF ALL TIME. I said I was through before but I came back. No longer.
The only good match of the night was the first fight shown on TV: a tag team match where Evan Bourne and Ricky Ortiz defeated Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely. After that the only matches were the stink-o-rama of Armando Estrada versus Tommy Dreamer and a horrific match between Braden Walker and James Curtis. Who are they you ask? We… More »

Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and Kobe Bryant know this team is special
People are going crazy. The US team only won their game by 11. Maybe they are not that good after all.
Don’t believe it.
But Australia was resting Andrew Bogut, who had a sore ankle and they only lost by 11.
So what, they were resting Andrew.. Who? Oh, yeah, Bogut, who plays for the Bucks, which rhymes with sucks,… More »
