Have a Safe and Wonderful Labor Day!

Have a Safe and Wonderful Labor Day!

On a serious note, Labor Day is statistically the day when more people drink and drive than any other day… Um, how stupid is that?

Listen folks, don’t drink and drive. I enjoy a great beer as much as the next person. I just enjoy it in my home or where I can safely get home without getting behind the wheel of the car. Enjoy and use some common sense!… More »

Is Sarah Palin Trig's Grandmother or Mother?

When Sarah Palin was named John McCain’s running mate, many people didn’t know much about the Alaska Governor. But rumor mill started churning this weekend when speculation began that Palin’s youngest child is not really her son, but rather her grandson.

An article in the Daily Kos states, “Well, Sarah, I’m calling you a liar. And not even a good one. Trig Paxson Van Palin is not your son. He is your grandson. The sooner you come forward with this revelation… More »

Family Focused Games, Another Target for Casual Games

UK’s Koch Media has a lot of spending money for marketing, says CasualGaming.biz.  Only £1.5m or $3m for promotions of their casual Wii and DS titles!!  Whoa!  The company’s Cherry Tree Lane range will feature its line of titles due for release in November.

These games will be promoted in youngster’s publications, gaming magazines, kid-oriented TV shows and kid’s gaming sites.  They are focusing on marketing to girls in the 6-12 age bracket, hoping that it will stand out in… More »

Manu Ginobili Injury Update - Fantasy Impact

Manu Ginobili will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his ankle this week after re-injuring the ankle during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Ginobili, who helped Argentina win the Bronze Medal, will likely miss between two and three months.

This news is obviously bad for the San Antonio Spurs. With as hard as the Western Conference will be this year, they can ill afford for any of their Big Three to go down. Now with Ginobili sidelined, Tim Duncan and… More »

The Closer: 'Split Ends' Preview (9-1-08)

Although Monday, September 1, is a national holiday, Labor Day, in the United States, there will still be a brand-new episode of The Closer called “Split Ends.”

On this “hair-raising” installment, Team Brenda investigates the murder of a hairstylist for a TV show who also has a disturbing background filled with abuse. And if that’s not enough — an abused woman — to irritate Brenda, then how about another visit from her wonderful but slightly meddling parents? You can… More »

Sony Jumping on the Casual Bandwagon

Sony Jumping on the Casual Bandwagon

Console bigwig, Sony, is trying its hand on the casual gaming platform – and its on PlayStation 3 too!  The name of the game is Afrika. According to this article, it is a deviant from their usual lineup – no shooting, little action, no winning or losing, there isn’t an ending too. Hmm, that description doesn’t make it seem like a game at all.

In Afrika, players are given a great experience of touring a virtual African Safari as a photographer… More »

Chris Perry Starter – Fantasy Football Impact

Chris Perry Starter - Fantasy Football Impact

Chris Perry has been named the starer at running back for the Cincinnati Bengals. That spot became open when the Bengals recently released Rudi Johnson.

Perry, he seems to be a player who has forever remained a fantasy football sleeper, has never been able to turn the corner on his career. He was drafted in the first round of the 2004 draft but has just 73 rush attempts in his career.

The biggest question mark regarding Perry is whether he… More »

Xbox Focused on Casual Games

Microsoft’s XBox Live Arcade has become an invaluable source of quality casual games, according to my source. The article said that if you haven’t tried connecting your Xbox to the internet, you must be missing out a whole lot! (I mean, look at those fine songs on Guitar Hero, man!) Most of the nice games there cost just $10 a pop!

These games are great to play for the whole family too!

So if you’re looking for that 15 minute game-brake… More »
