Original Air Date: April 30, 2008
The Starks disagree about EDDIE and the state of their marriage after Eddie fails to shed a single tear during a sad movie. JOY thinks this indicates her husband isn’t in touch with his feelings, while Eddie thinks it demonstrates he knows the difference between make believe (the movie) and reality (not the movie).
To nip the problem in the bud while they still can, Joy suggests the couple attend a so-called Living Loving Sharing… More »
Despite the off-putting title, Son of Rambow is a darling of a movie, big in heart and humanity. It’s the 1980s, and Will Proudfoot (Bill Milner) is forbidden to watch any movies anywhere. But after his new best friend, Lee Carter (Will Poulter), shows him a bootleg copy of First Blood, the two kids become obsessed with making their own film. When a French exchange student (Jules Sitruk) comes to town and muscles into the production, the two boys need… More »

Tom (Patrick Dempsey) has it all: Great career, good looks and women falling all over him. Hannah (Michelle Monaghan) is the one woman he’s never slept with, and the two of them are platonic best friends. Ok, I’m harking back to My Best Friend’s Wedding and When Harry Met Sally, but still think this movie looks really sweet. Love both Dempsey and Monaghan, and can’t wait to see them together. More after the jump, including a trailer…

A depleted new Seattle Storm roster will take the court Wednesday evening to begin the 2008 WNBA preseason against the Chicago Sky. Both teams bring new coaches to the sidelines (Seattle with former San Antonio Silver Stars assistant coach Brian Agler and Chicago with Steve Key, recently promoted from assistant coach after the not-so-subtle departure of Bo Overton).
Lauren Jackson, Sue Bird and Swin Cash are not expected to be with the team, but let’s face it, this is where we… More »
If you saw the latest issue of Revolver Magazine then you saw their annual Hottest Chicks In Metal III feature. Well now they are letting you see the pictures that didn’t make the cut at Revolver.com. The pictures in the magazine were very classy and nothing sleazy and I think it was very nice to leave something to the imagination. Right now you can view a few pictures of Maria Brink of In This Moment and through the rest… More »

The long-awaited Iron Man hits theaters this Friday, May 2, 2008. It’s already played in some parts of the country, and early reviews are good (except for The New Yorker, which always has a bug up its you-know-what about everything – Did I just say that? Yes, I did). Anyway, on Metacritic.com, the movie scored 81 out of 100 (critics) and 8.4 out of 10 (user comments), so that’s pretty good so far. More after the jump, including… More »
Both Matthew Fox and Josh Holloway made Stylist.com’s list of the Sexiest Men on Television.
Josh came in at #2. “If we ended up stranded on a secret Pacific island with Lost’s heart-of-gold conman, we don’t think we’d be working so hard to be rescued!”
Matthew came in at #7. “A decade ago we never would have believed that Party of Five’s Matthew Fox could get any hotter — then came Lost. Hey Dr. Shephard, we need a check-up!”

According to a Rogers Communications quarterly financial statement, the Buffalo Bills will receive $78 million to play eight games (five preseason and three regular season) in Toronto over the next five years. That works out to nearly $10 million a game. Per-game revenues from tickets and concessions in Ralph Wilson Stadium are roughly $6 million/game. You can do the math.
I guess I am more understanding of this partnership than I initially was. If… More »

Why are the meal assembly kitchen franchises failing?
One reason: Self-Delusion.
In a recent post, I wrote about an article on Michele Bellso, the cheery franchisor of 14-unit Make & Take Gourmet, whose enthusiasm for selling more franchises appeared unaffected by the fact that 3 of her first franchisees have lost their $200K investments. She freely admits that she doesn’t know the cause of the failures, and didn’t seem too concerned about figuring… More »
