According to recent sources, the definition of ‘Young Entrepreneur’ was officially changed to better suit a changing working environment.  Officials of the League of International Entrepreneurs have stated It is time we ‘Get in the now.’  With web 2.0 taking full swing on the internet, we decided to get with the program and take the plunge.  By ‘plunge,’ they are referencing to the new technical definition of ‘Young Entrepreneurs’ (or Progressive Innovators).  This new definition means everyone from ages 1-100… More »

The NHL Minute – March 31, 2008

The NHL Minute - March 31, 2008

Here’s a look at what happened across the league last night.  It’s interesting to see which teams are pulling themselves together and which ones are underperforming.  Gordie Howe also celebrated his 80th birthday at the Nashville Predators @ Detroit Red Wings (Wings won 1-0). The Calgary Flames got pwned by the Vancouver Canucks in a brutal 6-2 loss which saw netminder, Miikka Kiprusoff, get pulled (I’m sure Canuck fans were happy to see it wasn’t Roberto Luongo getting yanked for… More »

Jodie Foster Talks "Nim's Island" on Leno

Jodie Foster was on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno tonight, talking about her upcoming movie, Nim’s Island, hitting theaters this Friday, April 4, 2008. It’s about a young girl (Abigail Breslin), who inhabits an isolated island with her scientist father (Gerard Butler) and communicates with a reclusive author of the novel she’s reading. Chaos ensues when the girl’s dad goes missing. Does Jodie look better than ever or what? I’m glad to see her do a family flick… More »

Steel Yourself: Actor’s Strike Likely

Steel Yourself: Actor's Strike Likely

Oh, George (Clooney, that is), looks like your desperate plea in February to avert an actor’s strike hasn’t really helped the situation. Despite the suave one’s attempts at a liaison — along with fellow Oscar winners Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep — the two Hollywood unions representing performers suddenly split this weekend. It came as a shock to those hoping for a meeting of the minds. Read more about this real-life soap opera…

New England Patriots look at McFadden

New England Patriots look at McFadden

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Oh, please do not allow this to happen. The rich may yet again get richer.

The New England Patriots have scheduled a private workout with Darren McFadden.

NFL teams are allowed to host up to 30 out-of-town prospects before the draft, and the Patriots’ visit with the Arkansas back — scheduled for April 10-11 – should generate buzz relating to New England having the seventh overall draft choice.

Detroit Pistons – Theo the giant slayer

Detroit Pistons - Theo the giant slayer

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
It was a small deal after the trade deadline that is starting to loom large.

The Pistons did not trade for Pau Gasol, although that would have been nice.
The Pistons did not trade for Jason Kidd. No knock on Kidd, but Chauncey is here and much younger.
The Pistons did not trade for Shaq, although for 1 year that would have been fun.
The Pistons did not trade for Chris Weber. He… More »

Scotty Nguyen mostly annoys me. This one was kind of funny though.

I love that it is against Humberto.

Fantasy Follow-Up: Martinsville

Fantasy Follow-Up: Martinsville

For the second time in the first six races of this season I was able to forecast the correct race winner, and it showed in this week’s stat columns, and having four of my “Six-Pack” drivers finish in the top-five certainly didn’t hurt anything. Here’s hoping that Texas treats me just as well!

TZ’s Picks – Martinsville:
1. Denny Hamlin – 1st:  43 points
2. Jeff Gordon – 2nd:  42 points
3. Tony Stewart – 5th:  40 points
4. Clint Bowyer – 10th:  37 points

Choosing Your Brand Name

Choosing Your Brand Name

I read a great article by Wendy Piersall from eMoms at Home this weekend on WomenEntrepreneur.com that focuses on a branding problem that many businesses face. What happens when your business grows out of your brand name?
When Wendy started eMoms at Home, it was primarily a hobby. It gave her a place to talk about the start-up she was working on. Turns out, eMoms at Home took off and became a successful start-up of its own. As the site grew… More »

Roddick Engaged

Roddick Engaged

Time to take a break from stewing over tennis results and on to the important things: a professional tennis player’s love life!

Yes, it’s true. Andy Roddick is engaged to model girlfriend Brooklyn Decker. For all those young teenagers across America – and older, I suppose – Roddick is off the market.

A date has not been set due to their “hectic travel schedules.”

Good for them. I hope they make it…but if they can’t determine a wedding date due to crazy schedules,… More »

End Of March Metal Meltdown

End Of March Metal Meltdown

The month of March was quite interesting. A lot of great things happened for me and a few great CD’s came out this month. I gave away some cool prizes and the first batch of the MetalMartyr.Com Compilations went out as well. Below is a list of links to some of this months posts that I think are worth a re-run.
