Podcasting the National Football League, Podcasting the NFL
There are no moral victories in the National Football League. The NFL business is about winning. When the Philadelphia Eagles took the field as 22-point underdogs against the undefeated New England Patriots in Week 12, nobody outside of the Philly locker room gave them a chance to win. Yet the Eagles gave the Pats their toughest test of the season in a 31-28 loss. 2x All-Pro DB Lito Sheppard took time from a… More »
Brian over at TheJobBored has an interesting post entitled “How to think like management (and how doing so can help your career)”. I thought I’d share it with you, since it raises some very interesting points:
Know management’s pressure points.
Anticipate and offer solutions.
Understand the interpersonal.
Talk to your boss.
Make your boss look bad.
Make your boss look good.
Anticipate the good decisions management might make, and share the credit.
Anticipate the bad decisions management might make, and get out of the way!
Think like the CEO.

Success. It means many things to different people.
A man lives in a small farmhouse with his wife and two kids. He spends his days on the field, and his nights reading to his kids. Is he successful?
How about a young stockbroker with a six-figure income who doesn’t have savings or an emergency fund, but can buy anything she wants. This includes the latest designer clothes and the most high-tech gadgets. Is she… More »
Blogging the National Football League, Blogging the NFL
The Miami-Dade Police Department arrested four people today and charged them with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor. Police spokeswoman Linda O’Brien identified the men as: Venjah K. Hunte, 20; Eric Rivera Jr., 17; Jason Scott Mitchell, 17; and Charles Kendrick Lee Wardlow, 18. Apparently, the suspects weren’t expecting Sean to be home. Investigators believe the men learned of Sean’s house through someone who unwittingly set… More »
so for awhile I have been seeing Airbourne on Roadrunner records web page…so I got curious and downloaded a song. I hate to judge the band on one song but I’m not impressed at all. Is Angus Young the producer of their records cause that’s what I hear.
It’s like AC/DC meats Jet…simple rock…but yet so simple that I’m not impressed. I’m sure there are people flipping out over this stuff like it’s the best friggin thing since sliced cheese but… More »
So are you the political person? Are you also the HD guy/gal? Well, why not combine the two at once and flip on over to HDNet tomorrow night at 8PM EST? That’s when HDNet will show the Democratic Debate in HD, so you’ll get to see your favorite candidate like you were looking at him in person. Which may not be such a great thing, but at least you have options, right? Not much other info from a very short… More »
As Dr. Evil would say, “Where’s my frickin’ Laser TV?” Well, it’s been delayed again. Apparently after even reiterating the fact that Arasor, the manufacturer of the laser chips, would be releasing the TVs under brand names of Mitsubishi and Samsung, they’re falling short of their promise. Mitsubishi was also supposed to announced their laser TV at CES 2008, but whether they’ll stick to that or not is yet to be seen. And, as this story comes from the Sydney Morning Herald, Aussies will… More »

The EyeTV Hybrid from Elgato is something I’ve been interested in. I’ve been watching a lot more on my laptop at the same time I don’t want to miss out on local TV. So far this seems to be the best I can see. It has both analog and digital signals.

NBA Obsessed takes you into the hit and run game of NBA Basketball.
The return of James, your basketball author. Now the good and the bad. The good is that my most excellent boss and coworkers filled in quite nicely and that is most appreciated.
The bad is that James is diagnosed with Cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. This will go on for 6 months and may limit my blogging at time to time. Fear not, they say the cancer is one that… More »

You saw the review. If you didn’t then check it out if you like. This is my favorite song off of Yakuza’s newest release Transmutations. This song starts off kinda cool, calm and collective. Jazzy, with the sax and everything and just when your about to fall asleep in a state of Zen, it gives kick into over drive with a shot of nitrous oxide . Like I said in the review, this band is not for everyone so don’t… More »
