Rant On Greg Oden Hype
Ok I know he’s supposed to be good, so good that if he declares for the 2007 draft Greg Oden will be a lock for the number one overall pick. He’s a David Robinson type player who can do it both offensively and defensively. I have no problem with that. My problem is how people seem to expect that he will indeed declare for the upcoming draft.

Happy New Year!
Welcome to 2007 dear readers!
Back here in Asia, 2007 is greeted with an uber slow Internet connection from the recent earthquakes, to the point that it takes well over 3 minutes to load a WordPress blog. I wanted to post some links of “Cellphone9 back in ’06″ but my Internet connection won’t allow me to. It’s worse than dial up!

Seagate CEO Apology Doesn’t Mean the End of Candour
Over the Christmas break I was reading some comments about Seagate CEO Bill Watkins’ decision to send a note apologizing to any employees offended by his published off-hand comment about the company storage devices allowing people to store porn on their computers.

Witt on Hall of Fame Ballot?
You never really think about someone with a career 142-157 record and a 4.83 ERA as a Hall of Fame candidate, but apparently Bobby Witt is on this year’s ballot. Witt was selected third overall in the 1985 draft by the Texas Rangers and pitched for seven teams over the span of 16 years.
